We prefer to have a common mechanism for Persistence Context within a project. The reasons we think SMPC is a better choice is based on all the points provided in the Seam reference manual section 8.3. There is also a good detailed post in a "ManagedPersistenceContext in Manning JPA book" thread in this forum. Is it OK to change the default scope of the SMPC component to session scope? Can the above SMPC be used for conversations?
