Please see my recent thread "Mail list volume - victim of it's own success?"
If we can get enough people to volunteer to monitor the mailing list (or
future web interface) and fold the answers to the questions into the
documentation, then hopefully the majority of questions can be answered with
"see chapter xxx in the documentation." That is how major commercial
products (e.g., Oracle) survive - the documentation evolves to the point
where the majority of questions can be answered there.
