Well I've installed a jdk and jre from Sun
And got jboss to start, the one thing is that I have to add the environment
variables from the command line,
my /root/.bashrc looks like
  | # .bashrc
  |
  | # User specific aliases and functions
  |
  | alias rm='rm -i'
  | alias cp='cp -i'
  | alias mv='mv -i'
  |
  | # Source global definitions
  | if [ -f /etc/bashrc ]; then
  | . /etc/bashrc
  | fi
  |
  | # User specific environment and startup programs
  | JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk
  | JBOSS_HOME=/usr/java/jboss
  |
  | PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$JBOSS_HOME/bin:$PATH:$HOME/bin
  | BASH_ENV=$HOME/.bashrc
  | USERNAME="root"
  |
  | export USERNAME BASH_ENV JAVA_HOME JBOSS_HOME HOME PATH
  |
  | unset USERNAME
  | |
  | | have I got it wrong?
  | | Thanks a ton
