Christopher, if you can miss Entity Beans, Toplink works perfectly with "any" J2ee server. We use Toplink+JBoss using the following model: SessionBeans->PureJavaObjects mapped by Toplink->DB. We have written a MBean that encapsulates integration/configuration of Toplink within a J2EE server.
