Well, tried it with java 1.3.1_06, no difference. tried jboss 3.0.3, also locks checked networking (ip's, broadcast address, routing) and runned out of ideias. I've tried with a similar machine (hardware and software config) and got the same results. This gotta be a software problem as I've used a couple of machines running RedHat , with j2sdk1.4.1_01, and they booted all these JBoss's versions without a problem... Maybe it's something debian related? One thing I tought, but dunno how to check: multicasting addresses. How can we check if machine supports the multicast addresses?
