Is there a way to use the UUID or the HiLoID generator outside of JDO or CMP? Can I call this service from a SSB, or another JMX component?
I looked in the jmx-console for what methods were exposed in the UUIDGeneratorFactory, but didn't see anything other then the default start, stop, init methods.
