Hi,

My setup

JBoss 3.2.3 (server A)
Oracle 8i (server B)

I have a java class that is not deployed into JBoss. This is a standalone application.
I am trying to get a datasource through JNDI. Everytime I run the standalone class, it
will report with: OracleDS not bound

I have deployed the datasource and it shows up in JNDIview.

1) I need to confirm that JBoss 3.2.3 does not allow the lookups of datasources via
JNDI.
2) If question 1 is true, is it possible to do so in JBoss 4.0? If yes how?

I am pretty new to this J2EE / JBoss stuff. So I hope you can help me by answering my
questions or pointing me to docs that I can read. I have searched the net and this
forum that is why I came to the conclusion above.
