Just builded a version with more log messsages in the connection pool.
Now you can see the count of used connections if you use the
JakartaConnectionProvider. 

Have made a quick check and can't found any resource problem. But - to
fix your problem - try the JakartaConnectionProvider and have a look if
you can found a place where the count of connections will raise..
