Would you be willing to test a new version and the use the
JakartaConnectionProvider with your log4j set to debug. We put in a
count with that provider to help us track things.
An alternative is using dbcp (jnd) in Tomcat and setting
<parameter>
<name>logAbandoned</name>
<value>true</value>
</parameter>
(as mention in the Tomcat docs).
it would show then in $CATALINA_HOME/logs/catalina.out
