I think 'accidental updates' are more likely with autoUpdate="true" than
autoUpdate="false" unless you mean something else by 'accidental updates' .
There should another way of turning the feature off other than using
autoUpdate="false" as the autoUpdate attribute is used for other purpose and
it'll be retain its original use if not coupled with the multi-row update
feature.
