You've installed bash, but have you told emacs that you want to use it
as your shell? I believe Paul's documentation includes instructions
on how to accomplish this. (I am not a windoze user and so cannot help
you any further than that).

: All,
:
: I'm an JDE and gnu emacs newbie.
: What does the subject line mean?
:
: Before, I got the error saying cannot find program sh and
: I fixed that by making directory /bin and copy bash.exe
: to /bin/sh.exe and changed the path variable accordingly.
: Now that error was gone, I've had this obscure error message.
:
: I looked in jde FAQ and troubleshooting guide but there's no
: reference about the error i'm trying to find out.
:
: Can anybody point me to the right direction?
: System configuration:
: WinNT 4.0 SP3,jdk1.2.2,latest jde,gnuEmacs and cygwin tool.
:
: TIA,
: -Aris
