Sounds outlandish to me. I have been using the JDE interface to jpda
with a very large weblogic based application and I get to my
breakpoints, even in remote debugging sessions, within a matter of
seconds. The only difference is that I'm using jdk1.2.2, but I'm very
doubtful that this would be a significant factor.

Subject: debugger performance

Anyone have any recommendations about JPDA compliant debuggers? I've
been
using NT JDK1.3 with the jpda dll installed but the effective
performance is
worse than reimplementing with printlns, since it takes me 15 minutes or
so
to hit a breakpoint on startup of a classload and CPU intensive app that
while running in the executor would be hit in 5 seconds. Is the
performance
I've been experiencing outlandish?
