The version of the JDE that comes with XEmacs is very old. Please install
the latest version of the JDE (JDE-2.2.7beta11).
Note: FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ON THE JDE WEBSITE FOR XEMACS
EXACTLY.
