Paul,
I do understand that you are not happy with some XEmacs issues. The use of
Emacs/XEmacs is a matter of personal choice, developed over a period of
time, and is difficult to change. Lots of users like me depend on JDE and
XEmacs to provide us our java IDE. I would really hate to lose this great
tool because of minor irritants like these.
Let me add that at my workplace I use JDE with XEmacs on a Windoze 2000 box
and I can easily claim that my productivity is at least 20 - 30 % higher
than my colleagues who use IDE's like Visual Cafe, JBuilder and Netbeans.
Is'nt this unbashed admiration of a superb piece of software(JDE) motivation
enough to continue support for XEmacs? ;-)
