There is a bug in Windows 2000 that blocks standard I/O between processes,
e.g., between Emacs and JDEbug. See my previous mail on the subject, which
includes the Microsoft knowledge base report on the bug. Service Pack 2
fixes the bug. I have confirmed myself that JDEbug times out without Service
Pack 2 and works as expected with Service Pack 2 installed. Others have
confirmed this as well. So the conclusion is that you need Service Pack 2 to
run JDEbug.
I agree with Javier Lopez that this needs to be posted on the JDE web site
in the Requirements section. I will do so ASAP.
