I've just changed to use bash (previously MKS) a few days ago and my clearcase.el still functions afterwards. It was a bit of work on checking up the correct config of everything in my case though.

The clearcase.el package which is an outstanding clearcase integration into Emacs does not work if you use bash as default Emacs-shell! Klaus
