You should not be setting customization variables by hand nor do you need
to do this. Customization "works" for me in JDE 2.2.9beta7 and NT Emacs 21.1. If it is
not "working" for you, it is because there is something wrong in your setup or in how
you are using customization. As for jde-help-docsets, the data type of this variable
changed significantly from 2.2.8 to 2.2.9. When variable data types change, you have
to reset them to their standard value in the customization buffer, kill the buffer,
and then recustomize them, using the customize-variable command. In the future, please
describe your problem specifically, e.g., "Emacs segvs when I select the Save for
Future Sessions menu item" instead of using information-poor phrases like "does not
work." Better yet, use the JDE's Submit Problem Report command. If you had done this,
I would know whether you have set jde-help-docsets correctly and therefore be able to
offer you an exact solution. Regarding ant, I do not use ant and the JDE's ant support
was developed by others. Maybe they can offer some!
 help.
