thanks for the guidance. i downloaded and built jabber-1.4.1-dll and
jabber-1.4.1-dll-noglobals; for Cygwin and i get the following error when
running either one of them like this.
$ ./jabberd.exe
Configuration parsing using jabber.xml failed
i also downloaded the binary files in package jabber-1.4.1-bin
when i execute them like this:
./jabberd.exe -h richbraman.dyndns.org -s /usr/local/jabber/xdb/ -l
/usr/local/jabber/log/jabber.log
i get the following error:
Thu Jun 14 16:25:00 2001 load.c:201 dynamic loader processing configuration
<load><pthsock_server>./pthsock/pthsock_server.so</pthsock_server></load>
Invalid Configuration in instance 's2s':
<load><pthsock_server>./pthsock/pthsock_server.so</pthsock_server></load>
Any ideas. Do these files work for you?

Go to http://gsetss.dnsalias.org, select the jabber win32 server link, there
should be links there to download the cygwin version of the code (Which is
the closest to a win32 server we have right now).
