An interesting side note is that Red Hat released the broken glibc a month ago. The unofficial fixed packages are available for three weeks now but they are still unofficial - so Red Hat's "stable" distribution with all updates is plainly broken for several weeks now. And it's not only AIM-t that does not work well with this glibc, it's also minor things such as MySQL. So much for Red Hat in production environments... BTW it took me approximately five minutes to set up Jabber plus AIM-t on Debian (my home machine)... no problems... precompiled Jabberd is available :-) (even ICQv7-t).
