No idea. A guess would be that both Trillian users and Trillian developers
don't know what Jabber really is (or better, "don't *want* to know" for
they have been told numerous times).
I'm almost sure they don't want to know about Jabber :'-(, because some
time ago I also searched for Jabber *in* Trillian and I found lots of
users on their forums, asking for Jabber support. And I've also e-mailed
them once for Jabber support.

Jabber could be supported in Trillian.
First problem is that somebody needs to do this. Second problem is only
Trillian Pro (which you have to pay for) supports plug-ins.
