No idea. A guess would be that both Trillian users and Trillian developers
don't know what Jabber really is (or better, "don't *want* to know" for
they have been told numerous times).
I'm almost sure they don't want to know about Jabber :'-(, because some time ago I also searched for Jabber *in* Trillian and I found lots of users on their forums, asking for Jabber support. And I've also e-mailed them once for Jabber support.

First problem is that somebody needs to do this. Second problem is only
Trillian Pro (which you have to pay for) supports plug-ins.
