I'm pleased to announce that JIT ver 1.0.5 was released. JIT is ICQ
transport
What's the difference to ICQv7-t (icqv7-t.sf.net)? (from user's and programmer's point of view if possible)
- dosn't support invisibility and visibility list
- is very stable and fast
programmers or administrators:
- JIT is easy to run ( only one binary file )
- JIT uses libicq2000 and multithreded jabberd server.
- JIT has only 12 threads:
a) 10 MTQ , can be changed by MTQ_THREADS
b) 1 I/O
c) 1 heartbeat
for all users, every session has own mtq queue ( one thread has many sessions )
- low memory consumption ( max 30 MB for 500 users online ), no memory leaks.
- many configuration parameters like charset coding, sms presence, idle session timeout ...
Does JIT support direct connections?
NO :(
Yes and no. From old xdb files JIT reads only registration data. List of contacts is red fromDoes it read XDB files of the old ICQ-t?
main server roster ( JIT uses users roster ).
JIT works stable with over 500 users online each day. Check http://kontakt.wp.pl ( it is in polish language ! ).Is JIT stable (has it been tested with 40+ simultaneous connections)?
- messages, presences
of course.
Yes, you can send <presence type=invisilbe to='icq.host'/> to became invisible.Invisibility?
- sms
Yes
YesIncoming SMS?
Best regards

PS. I also have developed special jabberd server (on pthreads ) and fast jsm and xdb modules ( they are working for over one year ).
If anyone needs many connections I have special conection pooler called WPJ ( if you don't like jpolld or c2s ). WPJ uses /dev/epoll and can handle over 5000 users connected. On test 5 WPJ's could handle 40 thousand users connected.
