Fetch:
http://www.jabber.org/servers.php
Parse the result and give users a drop-down list of domains + descriptions to run on
with a caption of 'choose your domain', or similar, in the same way that some ISPs
give people a few domains to choose from when selecting their ISP supplied eMail
address?

BTW IMO it would be nice if we would have
at least something up before Trillian hits the road? We should certainly
have something before the XMPP standard goes final :D Oh, and is
jabber.net available for all this? It's owned by Jabber Inc. at the
moment.

I still need to figure out how to choose a good default server for Trillian's Jabber account signup thing. I'm afraid to just point it at jabber.org as a default; I have nightmares of everyone signing up at the next release like some kind of fad, and jabber.org's jabberd going down under the weight of the influx, and pgm and stpeter flying out to hunt me down... :)
