Just curious, but you use open source mailing lists, open source www servers and open source instant messaging servers? you communicate with others in open source forums? you propably use open source ssh software, you use open source file servers? and you don't pay a cent for the software? do you think this statement is slightly contradictory?

Oh, I don't see why this must be an issue. I'm a fan of different pieces of software, I love Flash regardless of whether it is open source or not. I love xmlSpy and CuteFTP and Apache and php. I just don't really care as long the software/hardware does the job I want it to do.

Doesn't anyone want to get into how to use video/audio with jabber rather than this open source stuff? When someone else is using a client that can play mp3's and I contact them, I'm highly unlikely to care how they manage to hear the song, I only want them to hear the song. It can't be possible that I shouldn't be able to hear it because my software isn't open-source is it?

Greg.
