Take a look at the file: ./settings/servers.xml That will let you change the default server.
As mentioned before, you need to block connections at the firewall. Changing the default server address simply makes "legitimate" use easier, but it does not prevent any misuse.
Some small changes to this file might help: ./src/profile_add.html
Should be trivial to make RhymBox skip a few screens in that wizard and force to go with the default server.
Then just package the modified files and the original installer in your own self extracting ZIP or something. If you run the standard RhymBox installer with the parameter "/silent" then it will extract to the default path. Make sure you extract the modified files after you run the standard RhymBox setup.
That should get you started. :-)
As for the C++ source code, you should not need any of that just to tweak RhymBox. That's the beauty of HTML and JScript.
Email me if you need more help. Or you can reach me on Jabber/XMPP (address listed on rhymbox.com website).
I hope this helps.

I wrote the author, but no response, then did a google search, and found a thread from the author saying there is a "src" directory that you can change the skins, look, etc, but no raw source code.
Rhymbox looks very nice, I would even be willing to sign a thing saying it would never be sold, etc. VB is my main area for windows, and linux is my main area all together, unfortunately, most of our users are on some type of win platform. (how many worms does it take before they learn?)

Hmm, I thought it was. Did you ask the developers?

Have you considered paying someone else to make your modification?
Don't give up so quickly. :)
