This is just a reminder that the Jabber Software Foundation is currently
accepting applications to join the organization. The main responsibility
of JSF members is to choose the Jabber Council and the Board of

Council.
What is the 'suggested' criteria for becoming a member. For instance,
I'm new to the jabber development community but actively working on some
proposals to upgrade existing protocols to XMPP and to add simple
multicast A/V to Jabber clients. This will hopefully result in JEPs in
the medium-term. Is it worth my while applying or should I wait until
the next period?
Feel free to apply. Membership is decidedly not limited to old-timers.
We want technically savvy people to choose and serve on the Council and
Board, as well as pursue possible new ventures (compliance testing is
always a popular proposal...).
