Could user turn that off? I'm very glad for the 15 minutes long timeout
I get now from low-level TCP timeout. Sometimes, I find an urging need
to unplug the cable (for removing knots from my table or so) and the
connection just survives it.
Besides, I happened to live on a connection with ICMP pings about 15
seconds, so the client would timeout just after the first ping.
(I know these are extreme, but in these cases, this "solution" brings
more problems than solve. If I'm on slow connection, I expect to wait,
not to get disconnected.)
In Gajim the "send keep-alive packets" is a GUI option, time before
sending it is configurable through advanced configuration editor, and
time for waiting the answer will be too.
