if it's the behaviour you want, just disable keppalive packets. In Gajimit's not what we want. Because in your case if connection is really brocken, it takes about 10minutes to be detected. TCP tries to re-send packets during about 10-15 minutes, then it tells higher level layerthat conenction is brocken. In Gajim we want to be aware that connectionis brocken before 15 minutes.
Then we use a smaller timeout, but 20 sec is just not enough, as it even disconnects me when the server is in the local network, but a bit busy, as login takes longer than 20 seconds then. 3 minutes should be the max time to answer.
