Have a look at netmeeting. It provides you these option. No java there.

The idea to do this in Java is interesting though...

Subject: [jdjlist] Q about video streaming and file transfers

Hello All,

I was asked today to examine the alternatives to implement a system which
will enable two users (a support team member and a user) to conduct a video
conference and to enable file transfer as well.

What is the best method to achieve it? Is it a sockets application? do you
know of a better solution? Note that the conference is for 2 people only.

How do I "talk" with a web cam using Java, is there an interface for doing
so?

Are there any ready classes in that niche? Do you know of a good resource to
start with?

Thanks inadvance,
David.
