The problem is intriguing, since I've been doing strictly webapps for quite
a while. Have you looked at javax.print apis? If I were to have an
application server running on a Windows box print a local report I would
check out the api and look for examples. I might try it for grins
anyway...

In windows, you can use this command line to print your graphic file
"C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\ImageVue\KodakPrv.exe" /p
"PATH\IMAGEFILE"
it is an accesorie from windows.
