I think we can also backport it to Oracle JDK6. Will find someone in the sustaining team to work on it.

This has never been the policy before, to my knowledge.  Why should the 
proprietary JDK6,
over which we have no control, be a blocker on bugs for OpenJDK6?  For one 
thing, there
are significant differences in the code bases, as far as I'm aware.
