Are there any docs? Sorry, I don't think there are any 6-specific docs. We generally try to follow what's being done in 7 and 8 (and 8u) projects for backports. The process for 7 is: http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk7u/groundrules.html For fixes that backport without any changes, the actual commit boils down to 'hg export' (from jdk7) and 'hg import' (jdk6).
