Alan has indicated that he's ok with this fix going into jdk7u. You're
free to push to jdk7u-dev.

Yes, Sherman is away this week. I looked through Andrew's combined
webrev and it looks good to me. To my knowledge, we haven't had any
issues with these changes in jdk8. It seems a fine change to get into
jdk7u.
Are we still waiting for Sherman on this, or can I push?
