Hi Dalibor,
why do we need to remove these repositories?
I was approached by ops to ask if we still had a need those forests and
if they could be deleted if that was no longer the case.
I don't have any concrete use case for keeping the mentioned forests
but sometimes it may come in handy to browse the history of old
releases.
That's still available through the corresponding releases' master
forests. They contain the identical changes from the -dev forests.
If I remember right I used jdk7u-osx several times during
our PPC/AIX port. That's also the reason I'd like to keep our old
PPC/AIX integration forests although they are read-only. They contain
other change sets and comments compared to the changes which were
finally integrated into the main repositories.
My proposal only concerns JDK 7u, fwiw, as after a few years we now have
accumulated plenty of forests we no longer need to have around. I can
imagine that other Projects would make different choices at different
points in time.
So if there are no strong arguments for deleting them I'd prefer to keep them:)
Does 'them' refer to all *-dev forests listed below, the *-osx forest
listed below, or both?

Hi,
I’d like to ask the ops to remove the following READ-ONLY “-dev” forests
from hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk7u/ for JDK 7u releases that
have been completed:
jdk7u2-dev
jdk7u4-dev
jdk7u40-dev
jdk7u6-dev
jdk7u60-dev
And the old OS X port integration forest:
jdk7u-osx
Please let me know if you have a reason for these forests to stay around
until Friday, June 27th.
cheers,
