Yes, I believe I filed something, but I don't have the ability to look it
up right now. I think that there are no Windows slaves in the build farm to
test on, so these things fall through the cracks.

I get the exact same test failures on my first attempt, using Maven 3.0.4
and jdk 1.6.0_32 on Windows 7.
Is this an issue only on Windows machines? All of these tests are passing
on

Has a ticket been filed for this in Jira? It can be quite discouraging for
potential contributors when their first attempt to build the project fails.
It would be worthwhile fixing this, even if the same tests pass on other
environments. The tests should pass on any environment that Jenkins is
capable of running on.
