Both the information in the Wiki and the update site contents are
updated after you perform a new release of the plugin.

I followed the instructions on

entry) but the wiki still shows the old information

I assume the synchronization takes place periodically right?
Then I'd have another question: the installation of software for this
plugin is based on DownloadFromURLInstaller using this remote file
http://mirrors.jenkins-ci.org/updates/updates/hudson.plugins.buckminster.BuckminsterInstallation.BuckminsterInstaller.json
how can I update that file?

I noted that the canonical repository of the plugin is still Subversion
- as noted in the Wiki.
You might want to move it to GitHub as a 1st step:
