How is this different from the other docker plugins that already exist
and would seem to achieve the same end goal?

it would be better for the community to only have a single well
maintained plugin for a specific task - so what does yours do
differently - could you not improve the existing plugins if they didn't
do something that you need?
alternatively to the maintainers of those other plugins - does this do
enough to superceed all of these plugins that it is worth having a
single plugin and would you be willing to contribute to this?
