PR 1641 aims to resolve this. It should be in the LTS line after 1.625.x. That said, could we please keep this discussion on topic? The known problem in this case is the JavaScript performance since the widget was rewritten around ~1.57x/1.58x more than any reading files from disk (if you have benchmarks indicating the opposite, please let us know!).
