Hi Daniel, Yes you are right to spot the inconsistency.
The focus this year is on expanding the board to the 5 people to allow for more bandwidth to get things progressing nicely in the Jenkins community. In my experience, things change, people's focus shifts so there is likely attrition and seats that need to be filled annually to keep a good functioning board. So I personally prefer in this case to focus on the immediate bandwidth issue and solve that and not worry too much about how many board seats will need to be elected next year.
