an old issue but I see it's unresolved and it's biting me today.. I clicked install automatically as well but it doesn't do anything other than try to run grails.. also not sure how one sets home and path if Jenkins is doing the install.. but regardless I also tried to manually install grails and set the home and path in the server's bash profile.. of course tomcat doesn't run a shell so again not sure that helps..

I also tried setting the tools locations in the configuration (and the grails home env variable).. none of this helped..
