Thanks for the quick response. here is the thing.
1) I enter my passward into the perforce mask on the job page. it has as much dots as I entered characters.
2) when I re-open the config again then there are much more dots in the perforce mask.
3) I can swear that I ignored this behaviour this morning and then in the next run the perforce yielded invalid password and stopped. A colleague of mine has experienced this as well. However, now that I wanted to make nice screenshots it is working...
