Mark Waite resolved JENKINS-21469 as Won't Fix Change from git clone to init+fetch makes clone from local GIT mirror a lot slower Since git clone has more ways in which it can hang prompting for credentials than git fetch, we need to stay with the git init + git fetch technique rather than returning to git clone.
