This already exists: Plugins can contribute whatever they want to the job environment.
However, the description of available environment variables is hard-coded and does not consider plugins. (SVN and CVS used to be core features)
This could probably improved.
For now, just check the documentation of the plugin and/or run set (Windows) or env (Linux) to find out what environment variables get contributed to the build.
