Re 2: Run.logRotate() has no access to the TaskListener. Not sure whether extending the API for this makes sense.
What could probably be done is have the icon continue blinking while the build is in the "post production" (notifying listeners about completion, deleting old builds, etc.) phase. So that way there's no disconnect between the spinner and the icon.
