I hadn't considered using a branch choosing strategy to solve the problem you're trying to solve. I didn't intend to either sensationalize or exaggerate. My sincere apologies for that. Since your change is a branch choosing strategy, wouldn't it be preferred to include it in the git plugin directly rather than add another plugin?
