I tried to implement this by capturing GitHubPushTrigger.start failure to setup the hook, then add a "GitHubHookSetupFailure" action to the project
... but hudson.model.AbstractProject#getActions is overriden to return a read-only action list, and hudson.model.Actionable#addAction won't add it (1. this breaks oo principle 2. hudson.model.Actionable#addAction should be overridden as well to throw UnsupportedOperationException or something similar)
