Although updating jobs through the REST API works fine, I have found one case where it does not. I fail to update an existing "free-style" job to become a "maven project".
How to reproduce: # create job A of type "Build a free-style software project" # create job B of type "Build a maven2/3 project" # download the A/config.xml # update job B using the downloaded A/config.xml through the REST API.
Now both jobs should be equal, but they actually haven't changed.
Jenkins ver. 1.532.3
