GUID sounds like a good idea. If I switch to GUID in 1.30, then anyone who redid their jobs in 1.29 will have to redo (save again at least) in 1.30.
NOTE - going from 1.28 to 1.30 (skipping 1.29) will still require you to re-create your jobs. I hope you understand there is no way around that.
