CSELT are also working on an implementation of FIPA ACL called JADE (Java Agent
Development Environment) - I saw it demoed by Fabio Bellifemine at a recent seminar
organised by Unicom in London. According to Fabio's paper, JADE "allows full
integration with JESS, where JADE provides the shell of the agent and guarantees...the
FIPA compliance, while JESS is the engine of the agent that performs all the necessary
reasoning."
