I would like to use Jess as a backend for an academic,
noncommercial application that I am creating. The application will be a
cognitive tutor for students in online courses at Carnegie Mellon
University and others. There are minor things in Jess that I would like
to modify (e.g., I want to pull scriptlib.clp out of the classpath so I
can jar the classes without jarring scriptlib.clp).
The license doesn't say anything one way or the other about
modifying and distributing the modified source and/or binaries. Can I do
this? Either way would it be possible to update the license so that it
states explicitly the terms on this issue?
