HI Prof. Henrik,
Now that I've tested JessTab completely, I must stress the benefits of it.
Not only it allow declarative integration with Protege, but also many
frame-based functions of Clips are present, providing a way to integrate
Jess with the ongoing trend of declarative ontologies. If it is to suggest
smth, I'd recommend to implement the remainder Clips functions not present
yet ( such as slot-allowed-classes, slot-cardinality, etc) or to let the
code available for others (maybe me!) to implement it.
Thanx,
Fred Freitas

Subject: JESS: JessTab: Integration of Jess and Protege-2000
I am happy to announce the availability of the JessTab bridge between Jess
and Protege-2000. JessTab is a plugin for Protege-2000 that allows you to
run Jess inside the Protege environment. A Jess console window appears in
a Protege tab. JessTab extends Jess with additional functions for mapping
knowledge bases in Protege to Jess facts, and for managing Protege
knowledge bases from Jess. For example, you can define Jess rules that
pattern match on instance properties in Protege knowledge bases.
Additional information is available at http://www.ida.liu.se/~her/JessTab/
You can download the beta version of the JessTab plugin from this web
page.
Sincerely,
Henrik Eriksson
